Many courses and workshops are open to individuals not seeking a degree but interested in gaining personal or professional knowledge.Ī student entering The University of North Carolina at Pembroke for the first time as a beginning freshman, a transfer student, or a student who is returning to the University after an absence of one semester or more must meet all requirements for admission. Through many curricular and extracurricular activities, the summer session provides opportunities for teachers and others who are free for summer study. Special workshops and institutes enrich the regular summer program, and visiting specialists augment the regular faculty when the need arises.
